Sophomore: Gary Meyer
(Nominated by Mr. Zaborowski)

I am happy to nominate Gary Meyer a sophomore. Besides being involved in the band and being a personable individual and a hard worker in class I observed Gary do something that I don't think too many other students would do let alone consider.
In the S-Hall mens room just before break, Gary picked up all the paper towels that had been carelessly tossed on the floor. We are talking about something that was quite a mess and he took the time to clean it up. He had no idea that I was watching him until he was done. I asked him why he did it and his response was that he was tired of looking at it and he hoped maybe other students would get the idea to do the same. |
Junior: M
(Nominated by Ms. Mathis)
She has been exceptional with her kind efforts by helping one of her peers in my Living On Your Own class. She has taken this responsibility very serious and the other student knows she can always count on Maya.
Maya is a very caring, strong, positive role-model. |
Senior: Michael Spreitzer
(Nominated by Ms. Szantai )
He is a student who is interested in every subject he has classes in; he is attentive and studious, and helpful to the classroom teachers. Above all, Michael is very courteous to both his peers and teachers.
I also work with Michael every afternoon at the Snack-Attack. He is very diligent in his work, conscientious of both his job and the customers. Again, Michael's courtesy is eminent to his fellow co-workers and our customers. Michael knows what is expected of him and does his job extremely well. He is quick and methodical in putting the Snack-Attack and tables away and keeping the storage closet neat. I highly recommend Michael for student of the month.
(Nominated by Ms. Off)
Mike is a deserving candidate for student of the month. He models respect, courtesy, and an outstanding work ethic on a consistent basis. Even when challenged by other students who lack social skills with unwarranted negative comments, Mike chooses to ignore the remarks. This requires much maturity and discipline on his part. I’ve observed him making the right choices on several occasions while working in a group setting in his speech/language therapy sessions. Moreover, Mike gives 100% effort and perseveres with challenging tasks without resistance or complaint. Overall, he is a model student who exemplifies character. |
