Megan Walsh (Nominated by Ms. Lavery)
Megan transferred here from Atlantic Christian
School this year and has adjusted very well to the change. She
always does her work and when she needs help or has questions she
always asks. Her current average in chemistry is a 99. She follows
directions in the lab without question and never has to be reminded
to put goggles on or to follow proper lab procedures. Megan works
well with others and is willing to help students in cooperative
learning settings on a daily basis. She is always respectful and is
an example to others in the classroom and hallways at Mainland.
Please consider Megan Walsh for this honor.
The Special Services School District has recognized Rebecca
Marigolds for her participation as a classroom volunteer in our
summer program, Project Youth at our Mays Landing Campus. The
purpose of this project is to provide an opportunity for students
to interact, explore and experience life with disable
individuals. The program helps students develop a better
understanding of the disabled child by becoming sensitive to the
challenges they face.
Rebecca's performance as a "helper" in the classroom was
outstanding. Throughout the daily instructional and recreational
activities of the summer program, Rebecca related well to the
children and was a true asset to the teacher and the program.
