·     For poetry, place a slash (/) between lines.

·     Parenthetical Documentation = putting where you got the info in parenthesis at the end of the sentence.

·     THE PERIOD ALWAYS GOES AFTER THE PARENTHETICAL DOCUMENTATION!!!!!

 

In James Berry’s poem “Girls Can We Educate We Dads?” he begins, “Listn the male chauvinist in mi dad – / a girl walkin night street mus be bad” (1 - 2).
