CHILD STUDY TEAM

The Child Study Team (CST) is a multidisciplinary group of professionals who work together to identify and support students who may require special education services or related supports. The CST partners with families, teachers, and administrative staff to ensure students receive the tools, interventions, and resources they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

What the Child Study Team Does

The CST is responsible for:

• Evaluations & Assessments
  Conducting educational, psychological, social, and speech‑language evaluations to determine student needs.

• Developing & Managing IEPs
  Creating and overseeing Individualized Education Programs for eligible students.

• Providing Student Support
  Helping address academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs through targeted interventions.

• Consulting With Teachers & Families
  Offering recommendations, strategies, and guidance to support student learning and well‑being.

• Coordinating Services
  Connecting families with school‑based and community resources.

• Ensuring Compliance
  Ensuring all evaluations, timelines, and programs meet state and federal special education regulations.
